Hillary Has a Plan for ISIS

On Thursday Hillary Clinton said that the U.S. should crush the Islamic State group with a broader international coalition that employs intensified airstrikes on a greater number of targets, but insisted the ground fight should be led by Sunni Muslims and Kurdish forces, with American troops playing only a limited advisory role. “Turning away orphans, applying a religious test, discriminating against Muslims, slamming the door on every single Syrian refugee – that is just not who we are. We are better than that," she said. "Islam is not our adversary. Muslims are peaceful and tolerant people and have nothing whatsoever to do with terrorism." Clinton seemed poised and delivered her speech calmly. Many think this is a good thing to have in a president; however, there are still many who disagree with her ideas because letting in refugees could very well let in terrorists.
Hillary Clinton speaks at the Council on Foreign Relations in New York on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015.

  1. Hillary seems to have a great plan for destroying ISIS. She is leading the Democratic polls by a very large margin, continuing to gain popularity, and it looks like she'll receive the Democratic nomination in 2016.

  2. It is exceedingly odd that Clinton can simultaneously talk about issuing more, "intensified" air strikes thus leading to more Syrian refugees, while saying that the refugees need to be treated better. These are blatantly contradictory, and yet, her polls have gone up. Obama has issued over 3000 drone strikes trying to cripple ISIS, and look how well it's turned out so far. I fail to understand why "more airstrikes" seems like such a good plan to so many people. It's all emotion, no logic.

  3. Seems like she has an ideal and set plan, but I must agree, we do not know what these people can do if we let them in. We must be cautious and seems like Hillary has her mind set on what we must do.

  4. I agree with the plan Clinton has set here. It's precise, seems effective and it doesn't end in America shunning an entire group of people for something a few have done.

  5. I like how Hillary has a plan, as opposed to the others who can't seem to stop bashing heads about all of this. There is no doubt that her stability in this situation is going to help raise her polls.

  6. Oh yay, more airstrikes, can we nuke next? But seriously, I think it would be better to leave and stop fighting. But I appreciate how she makes Muslims look good instead of shaming them for the terrorists. I'm kind of torn on how to act to her.

  7. Having a specific plan to fight Isis probably will give Clinton a lot more popularity, especially if she remained calm and collected during her speech. I like hoe she said that not all Muslims are terrorists, but it's still risky bringing in refugees into our country, considering that one of the Paris attackers sneaked in pretending to be a refugee.

  8. I think this speech will definitely help Hillary. This will boost her polls even farther. She is already in the lead, and I think that she has a great chance of winning this election.
