According to The Wall Street Journal they mentioned that, "Hillary Clinton is calling for a round of tax cuts for the middle class that would be paid for with higher taxes on wealthier households". In brief, Hillary's plan would insert hundreds of billions dollars into middle-class households, which will enable them to better cope with rising expenses. Hillary would also offer a tax credit to help people pay out-of-pocket health-care costs, and individuals would receive as much as $2,500 from the credit; families, $5,000.

  1. I do not believe this is the right way for Hillary to handle taxes. Is it fair for the wealthier who earned their money to be taxed even more? It may be beneficial for the middle class but I believe the wealthy will not like this plan.

  2. I think that this is a good stance on taxes. I believe that "rich people" should pay more in taxes because they earn more, and that the middle class shouldn't be paying so much in taxes. I think she stands in a good opposition here.

  3. I disagree that this is the right approach to taxing. Don't forget the rich although not all worked hard for their positions and its not fair to tax them. On the other hand the rich should willingly be giving to help the poor or less fortunate which I see as a golden rule/virtue. Taxing may not be the best solution to help the middle class.

  4. I think Hilarys stance is good, but at the same time one that many would find unfair. I personally could see this tax situation happening in the future because only a small percentage of the population represents the upper class.

  5. I'm sure Hillary Clinton's tax plan is quite popular among middle class families. She's been dominating the polls, and I'm predicting she'll be the Democratic candidate for 2016. Sanders could pull a comeback, and O'Mally is still alive as well, but right now Hillary is on the fast track to win the nomination.

  6. It has been well-established by history that top-down Reaganomics style economics, which cut taxes for the rich since they "create jobs," has disastrous long-term effects on the economy. However, I think that the real problem is not "rich households" in general, but the top 1% of the 1% millionaires that use stock and bond loopholes to get out of paying their fair share of taxes.

  7. This is a very interesting plan. The middle class will enjoy this, no doubt. But is it fair to place heavier taxes on the rich? It is understandable as to why she would do so, but I am slightly wary about this idea.

  8. I can see where she's coming from with this, even though it's questionable as to whether or not it would work very well for the rich. I mean, some rich people work pretty hard to get rich.
